ISO9001:2000 acquired by Headquarters Factory
In June 2007, the Headquarters Factory acquired ISO9001:2000 accreditation in "precision mold manufacture". By systematizing the mold manufacturing we have been doing for years, we are making molds of even greater reliability for customers.
Introduced CNC 3D measuring system
We introduced the Crysta-Apex C7106 state-of-the-art 3D measuring system from Mitsutoyo. It can measure even cam grooves in helicoids. We are swiftly and accurately meeting customer needs via a total system from mold design and manufacture to test-molding, measurement and correction.
A new project of nano-level super-precision mold
Following publicly commissioned projects for strengthening (2003 -- 2005) and enhancing (2006 -- 2008) strategic basic technology, we participate the newly launched "Strategic Basic Technology Enhancement" project from 2009 and work toward development of super-precision mold machining technology for glass and silicon, tools and grinding machines, and replication technology for micro-precision parts.
Kawasaki Meister chosen from Nagatsu
Tadao Koike of Nagatsu was named the 2006 Kawasaki Meister. He was recognized for his high level of skill in using mature technologies to make super precision molds. As a side job to making molds, he is busy everyday educating and training successors so to spawn a 2nd and 3rd "Meister".
